RECIPE FOR PEARS WITH SAFFRON - MAISON BOTEH

 

Recipes for 2 Pears (the fruit)

Preparation time: 20 minutes

 

Ingredients
12 threads of saffron / 2 peeled pears (keep the tails) / 60 g of powdered sugar / 1 tsp of lemon zest / 1/2 L of water

 

Instructions

. Pour the water into a saucepan. Add the sugar and lemon zest, then mix.

- Heat over low heat, stirring continuously, until the sugar has melted.

- Bring to a boil and reduce the heat

- Add the saffron and simmer for ten minutes until you obtain a syrup.

- Add and immerse the pears, then cover them for 6 to 7 minutes. Flip the pears to the other side and cover for another 6 to 7 minutes.

- Take the pears out of the syrup.

- Let the syrup reduce so that it thickens further.

- Serve the pears and pour the syrup over them.

- Accompany them with a cookie, a scoop of ice cream, cream... Treat yourself!
