ONION TART AND CARROT CAKE - MAISON BOTEH

 

Preparation time: 50 minutes

 

Ingredients

Shortcrust pastry (Homemade is better!) / 6 onions (preferably white) / 2 eggs / 20 g crème fraîche / Salt and pepper / Olive oil / 2 tablespoons of jam Carrot Cake

Instructions

- Finely cut the onions and brown them in the oil and jam.

- Add salt and pepper.

- Whisk together the eggs and cream.

- Off the heat, mix together the egg/onion cream mixture.

- Spread the shortcrust pastry in a tart mold and pour the mixture on top.

- Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool and enjoy with a nice salad.
